Write

config:StartConfigurationRecorder is a Write access-level action in the config service. Grants permission to the customer managed configuration recorder to start recording configurations of the AWS resources you have selected to record in your AWS account

ARNs that config:StartConfigurationRecorder can be scoped to in an IAM policy.

aws:ResourceTag/${TagKey} String

Filters access by tag-value associated with the resource

Example IAM policy

A minimal policy that allows config:StartConfigurationRecorder. Replace "Resource": "*" with a specific ARN to follow least privilege.
