ecs:ExecuteCommand is a Write access-level action in the ecs service. Grants permission to run a command remotely on an Amazon ECS container

Condition keys

Keys you can use in the Condition block of a policy that grants ecs:ExecuteCommand.

aws:ResourceTag/${TagKey} String

Filters access by the tag key-value pairs attached to the resource

ecs:cluster ARN

Filters access by the ARN of an Amazon ECS cluster

ecs:container-name String

Filters access by the name of an Amazon ECS container which is defined in the ECS task definition

ecs:task ARN

Filters access by the ARN of an Amazon ECS task

ecs:ResourceTag/${TagKey} String

Filters access by the tag key-value pairs attached to the resource

Example IAM policy

A minimal policy that allows ecs:ExecuteCommand. Replace "Resource": "*" with a specific ARN to follow least privilege.
